The first official reaction of Russian ombudsman to Karen Andreasyan

YEREVAN, JULY 18, ARMENPRESS: Human Rights Defender of Russian Federation Vladimir Lukin although is on holiday these days, ordered to give urgent answer to letter of Armenian ombudsman Karen Andreasyan. “Armenpress” reports that in Karen Andreasyan’s facebook account is mentioned that in official letter to Armenian Human Rights Defender is mentioned: “Human Rights Defender of Russian Federation highly estimates the close cooperation between human rights organizations of two countries”. He also informed that according to federal law “about Human Rights Defender of Russian Federation” for giving proper process to the case the existence of Hrachya Harutyunyan’s formal application. For securing the existence of such application advisor of Human Rights Defender of Armenia Eranuhi Tumanyanc transferred to Hrachya Harutyunyan’s lawyer the project of that formal application.

Karen Andreasyan today met the daughter of Hrachya Harutyunyan and discussed several issues with her. Besides other problems Lilit Harutyunyan expressed wish to leave for Moscow and meet her father expressing assurance that meeting with her will help Hrachya Harutyunyan to come out of difficult psychological state.
