Armenia's air-force will be expanded: National Security Council Secretary

YEREVAN, JUNE 27, ARMENRPESS. The air-force and air defense system of the Republic of Armenia will be modernized. The Secretary of the National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan stated this at the press conference held on June 27. As reports "Armenpress" the Secretary of the National Security Council mentioned: "The air-force and air defense system of the Republic of Armenia in general will be modernized and re-equipped." The Russian military-base No 102 in Gyumri and frontier unites will be re-equipped as well. "2014 will be a very important year in respect of rearmament," the Secretary of the National Security Council said.

The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Nikolay Bordyuzha touched upon the issue of the ongoing procedure of establishing united military forces within the framework of CSTO. "Those collective aviation forces of the organization will contribute to the activity of the national military unites, when there is a necessity to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the states," the CSTO Secretary General underscored.
