Minister Papikyan says Azerbaijan denies firing toward Khoznavar village

Armenia urged the Azerbaijani side to conduct an investigation and provide public explanations regarding the shooting in the direction of Khoznavar, Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan told journalists in the parliament.

"We ask the Azerbaijani side to provide public explanations into the incidents, but they refused to accept that they fired," said Papikyan.

On May 29, between 1:00 a.m. and 1:15 a.m., units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of the Khoznavar settlement in the Syunik Province, causing damage to a residential house.
