The small-to-medium business is of a certain importance for the steadfast economic growth of a country, as it gives innovational impulses to the economy. Armenpress News Agency highly appreciates the significant role the small-to-medium business plays; each week Armenpress introduces business stories regarding various branches of economy. This time the project is dedicated to the story of a businesswoman, pharmacologist Nelly Avetisyan, who advises the beginners not to be afraid of anything when establishing a business.

YEREVAN, JUNE 20, ARMENPRESS: Nelly Avetisyan is a pharmacologist and teaches at the Yerevan State University.

The idea of creation of a safe soap occurred to her automatically. “I began mixing the clean oils, we use, to make a clean soap”, - remembers Nelly Avetisyan. The first tests passed successfully. And after getting a small volume of clean soap, Nelly began thinking how to make the soaps national.

The searches brought her to the 15th century. She used the receipts of soaps of the great Armenian physicians Amirdovlat Amasiatsi, Mkhitar Sebastatsi and Mkhitar Heratsi. Thus, the soaps created by their receipts, got their names. For her innovations Nelly Avetisyan was awarded with the Armenian Prime Minister Award “Best Businesswoman” on April 5 2013.

The soaps are handmade and are quiet expensive for the common consumer. Though Nelly Avetisyan intends to make and spread in Armenia eco soaps as well, which will, according to her, create demand, thus decreasing the price for her production.

Do not be afraid. This is the advice given by Nelly Avetisyan to the young people and those, who want to establish their business. “Now the state should assist us and should be proud that we have created such brands, thus developing the country”, - said the experienced Armenian businesswoman.
