YEREVAN, JUNE 12, ARMENPRESS: In the nearest future Azerbaijan will be shaken by events, which could bring to the complete disintegration of the country. Armenpress was reported about this opinion by the Armenian political analyst from Russia Tigran Manasyan, speaking about the latest events in Turkey. “Taking into account the number of the Azerbaijani students in Turkey, forthcoming summer holidays and the presidential elections in Azerbaijan, it can be assumed that the events currently occurring in Turkey will by all means affect the domestic situation of Azerbaijan”, - stated Tigran Manasyan.
As noted by the Armenian political analyst, the decrease of the energy resources reserve of Azerbaijan, the negative disposition of the national minorities and the total discontent towards the country’s authorities provide the basis to conclude that the geopolitical situation in the South Caucasus will change not in favor of Azerbaijan.
In several regions of Turkey mass protest actions have been held since May 28. The protesters complain against the Government’s decision to build a commercial and entertainment complex in the Gezi Park nearby the Taksim Square of Istanbul.
The rights of the ethnic minorities and the common people are continuously violated in Azerbaijan. The country is ruled by the hereditary power of the dictators. The economy of Azerbaijan mainly depends on the sale of the oil and gas.
