The small-to-medium business is of a certain importance for the steadfast economic growth of a country, as it gives innovational impulses to the economy. "Armenpress" News Agency highly appreciates the significant role the small-to-medium business plays; each week "Armenpress" introduces business stories regarding various branches of economy. This time the project is dedicated to the story of a freedom fighter businessman Zhorik Gevorgyan, who, as reported by Armenpress, applies to the young people of Armenia to stay in the country and establish their own businesses.
YEREVAN, MAY 9, ARMENPRESS: There is a beautiful corner, Artsvasar Tavern, at the 8th kilometer of the highway taking to Jermuk from Vayk city of Vayots Dzor Marz. The giant cliff is above it. Before the establishment of the Tavern there was a free territory under the cliff, full of snakes and garbage “decorating” the area.
“I have brought the water and electricity from two kilometers. I have built everything here”, - says the owner of Artsvasar Tavern, the freedom fighter of the Artsakh War Zhorik Gevorgyan. The Tavern is already one year old and has its regular customers. Zhorik Gevorgyan was the only restaurant manager in Vayk in the Soviet times. He is married and has a son and a daughter, who made him happy, giving birth to two grandchildren each. The son of Zhorik Gevorgyan and his wife work at the Tavern.
Gevorgyan does not like making forecasts about the future. “The future of the business can be shown only by the time. If people visit my Tavern, the business will develop and if you do not have any visitor, you should change the nature of the business or close it”, - says the freedom fighter businessman.
Zhorik Gevorgyan applies to the young people of Armenia to stay in the country and establish their own businesses. “If the young see a future here, they will stay and create good things”, - assures the businessman. (THE FULL VERSION OF THE ARTICLE IS AVAILABLE IN ARMENIAN).
