YEREVAN, APRIL 19, ARMENPRESS: Prominent musician and composer Yanni is happy to visit Armenia again. This was noted by the musician during April 18 interview with journalists, underlining that Armenia had very “warm’ culture and in Armenia he felt at home.
Yanni is happy to have an opportunity to give a concert for Armenian audience. Moreover he promised to visit Armenia again during his previous visit.
There are no music rules for Yanni. “I am ready to use any instrument which can express human’s emotions. Fusion is not a forced phenomenon, it comes from the inside,” he said.
The musician told about his good memory, which didn’t let him forget any melody.
There are going to be some surprises at the concert, nevertheless, musician refused telling about them.
“My last year Yerevan concert was one of the best moments of my life. I told so much about the Armenian reception that this time my sister arrived in Armenia with me,” Yanni noted.
Referring to similarities of Armenia and Greek nations, Greek musician has noted that actually they are more similar than different. “When I was a child I used to listen and play Armenian music,” he said, noting his family was poor and he had only one radio.
About 20 compositions are included in the program of Yerevan concert, including Santorini, Truth of Touch, Keys to Imagination, Felitsa, Voyage, The End of August, The Rain Must Fall, Cello Solo, Vertigo, Niki Nana, Standing in Motion.
