John Heffern welcomes commitment of Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs to continue negotiations

YEREVAN, APRIL 13, ARMENPRESS. The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United States to the Republic of Armenia John Heffern welcomes the commitment of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan to continue the negotiations for the regulation of the Nagorno Karabakh issue. In a conversation with "Armenpress" the U.S. Ambassador underscored that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs – Russia, the USA, and France have been working for a number of years to find a peaceful solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Among other Things John Heffern noted: "The upcoming meeting of the Armenian Azerbaijani FMs is also aimed to that. And the Co-Chairs have organized a number of meetings trying to find a mutually beneficial solution via the discussions. Notwithstanding if not the willingness of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan to continue the negotiations the efforts made by the Co-Chairs would be in vain."
