Armenian populated Aleppo was deprived of electricity for almost entire week

YEREVAN, MARCH 5, ARMENPRESS: Current has been switched off in Aleppo rather frequently; the city has been deprived of electricity during the great part of the day. Speaking about ongoing clashes the Spokesman of the Armenian National Prelacy in Aleppo Jirair Reisian told Armenpress, though the Armenian populated districts are not considered hot beds, yet the sounds of shelling are constantly heard. Once mostly Armenian populated Ashrafie district currently is left deserted and became arena of acid clashes. The majority of the population has left the city.

As to Armenian Nazaret Sabunjyan kidnapped on the raod to Beirut and Armenian priests kidnapped earlier, press secretary stated there is still no news refer to them, yet the efforts made in that direction are ongoing.

According to UN data over 70 thousand people were killed due to 23 months ongoing clashes in Syria. The number of killed Armenians exceeds four dozen.
