Armenian kidnapped in Aleppo suburb

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 21, ARMENPRESS. An Armenian was kidnapped in one of the Aleppo suburbs in the evening on February 20. The Press Secretary of the Armenian National Prelacy of Aleppo Jirair Reisian stated this in a conversation with "Armenpress". In addition he said that the kidnapped Armenian is 60-year-old Nerses Aghayan. He was kidnapped from the public transport, when the militants stopped the transport, checked out the passports, and after they took Nerses Aghayan to unknown direction. Also Jirair Reisian noted that the kidnappers demand a ransom to set him free.

Among other things the Press Secretary stated that there is no information about the kidnapped Armenian priest and Gevorg Karagulyan, who was kidnapped on his way to work few days ago.

In accordance with the UN data clashes lasting about 23 months in Syria caused death of over 70 thousand people, including more than four dozens Armenians.
