Sniper wounded an Armenian woman in Aleppo

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS. The clashes between Governmental forces and armed rebels flared up in Bustan Basha district of Aleppo not far the Armenian New Village district. The Press Secretary of the Armenian National Prelacy in Aleppo Jirayr Reisian informed "Armenpress" about this. In addition he said that the residents consider current fight as one the heaviest clashes. Although at the present moment there is no information about the damages.

Reisian also informed us that today in the morning a sniper wounded an Armenian in Aleppo. The wounded woman has been taken to the hospital and now she is under the surveillance of the doctors. According to the preliminary information her condition is not very serious.

There was another explosion in Suleymaniye, where a sniper wounded a young girl. Reisian said that the present situation in Aleppo is relatively calm, particularly in the central districts. Notwithstanding the residents are still very careful.

As to the situation in Damascus our compatriot informed us that the authorities declared the Day of Mourning in the Armenian populated Jaramana. All the markets are closed. Fortunately there are no clashes and explosions today.

Member of "Emergency Unit of the Syrian-Armenians" Raffi Avetisyan informed the Armenian portal of the Middle East "Azat Hay" that in accordance with the present information the clashes in Syria lasting about 20 months caused the death of 40 Armenians and the injuries of 66 people of Armenian origin. There are also 7 kidnapped Armenians, and 2 missing servicemen. More than 200 houses have been damaged.
