World Youth Boxing Championship kicks off in Yerevan

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS: The World Youth Boxing Championship will officially launch in Karen Demirchyan Sports Complex on November 28. As reports ''Armenpress'' 71 countries had previously applied the bid for participation in this championship, but only 68 of them have arrived in Yerevan. During the ten days of the tournament against each other will play about 650 athletes from various countries around the world.

The official opening ceremony of the championship will be held on November 28, and before that the draw for the session will host in the Sports Complex. After the initial checkup, athletes will have preliminary fights. On December 2, 3 and 4 the participants will successively compete in ''16th rounds'' and quarterfinals. On December 5 will be a rest day for athletes and on December 7 will be held the final combats of the championship, the President of AIBA International Boxing Association Ching-Kuo Wu will be present.

The athletes, who arrived in Yerevan for the Championship, will have opportunity to train in different Gyms and the main trainings will be held in Sports Complex Stadium.

Armenia presents ten athletes in this review in all ten weight categories.
