The film ''Sunrise over the Lake Van'' about Armenian Genocide is displayed in CIP countries

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS: The film ''Sunrise over the Lake Van'' about Armenian Genocide is in Minsk, Kiev, Rostov-on-Don, and in Krasnodar. The film received the warmest reception of Armenians. The film making inquires about the issues regarding to the existence of Armenian nation in the Diaspora has severe emotional impact on the audience as initiators was waiting. The head of the Armenian Students' Council, the Initiator of the Film Showings Samvel Mkoyan informed ''Armenpress'': ''We initiated to organize this program due to the desire and the realization of our living abroad compatriots, who think that the film ''Sunrise over the Lake Van'' is also one step to the terms of national self-preservation.''

The creative group the scriptwriter Armen Vatyan and the director Vahan Stepanyan had meetings with the representatives of the local Armenian Community and Armenian organizations in the frames of the program. The Delegation departed from Armenia received a warm admission everywhere. The projects in collaboration with community were mainly discussed and further actions were specified.

The shootings were committed in Armenia, the United States of America, France and Western Armenia. The actors from different countries are shot in starring roles: Jean-Pierre Nshanyan from the United States of America, Aren Vatyan from the Russian Federation, Arevik Martirosyan from France, Karen Dzhangiryan who creates Karapet Pambukchyan's role. In the Armenian film was shot Turkish actor for the first time; Gyunsh Zan personified the Karapet's grandson friend, who is also Turk in the film.
