Sergey Lavrov met with Former Prime Minister of Syria

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS: Foreign Minister of Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov had a meeting with Former Prime Minister of Syria Riad Hijab in Jordan. As report Armenpress referring to Arabic sources, at the beginning of the meeting Lavrov expressed his interest over Hijab’s position on the current situation in Syria, as well as urged everybody to spare no efforts to suspend the military actions. In his turn Riad Hijab expressed his willing to change with viewpoints with Minister Lavrov, because once he used to be Syria’s Prime Minister. During the meeting with his Jordanian counterpart Lavrov stated that his country supports the idea of UN observers to return to Syria.
