Minsk Group co-chairs to try restoring lost confidence caused by Safarov case

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS: In accordance with the agreement acquired by the results of the meeting launched between Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Affair Ministers Edward Nalbandyan and Elmar Mammadyarov in Paris on October 27, OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are scheduled to pay a visit to the region. It is their first visit to the region after Safarov extradition and subsequent pardon. Armenpress launched inquiries among the political scientists refer to the expectations of co- chairs' visit.

In accordance to political scientist Alexander Manasyan the co-chairs visit is aimed at regulating the Azerbaijani- Hungarian deal consequences. ''They will try to come back to the stage of the negotiations that existed before Safarov events. We had better not to return the that stage instead make statements which will be in favor for us'' Manasyan underscored. In the words of the specialist for the further development of the negotiations the importance of arguments presented Krabakh side arguments should be stipulated.

In the opinion of politician scientist Alexander Margarov the goal of the visit is to present the current development phase of negotiations . Dwelling on probable changes in the negotiation phase caused by Safarov, specialist noted the case once again proved the impossibility of integration of Karabakh under Azerbaiajni rule. '' Country that adopts hatred as state policy towards the other states, country that dubs with hero title murderer on ethnic principles cannot be considered an area where Artsakh people can live'' Margarov stated.

Karen Bekaryan considers the visit of co-chairs is initially aimed at restoring the lost confidence resulted by SAfarov case. ''The visit of co-chairs is an attempt to lessen the tension, find out the path to move forward'' political scientist came up with .

Edward Nalbandyan and Elmar Mammadyarov in the course of Paris meeting reaffirmed their commitment to continue working together with the co-chairs to reach peaceful regulation of the issue. The co-chairs stated the importance of reducing the existing tension between the sides. They offered their suggestions to push the peace process.
