Armenian NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan is in an official visit to Czech Republic

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 30, ARMENPRESS: By the invitation of Milan Shtekh Chairman of Czech Republic Parliament's Senate Hovik Abrahamyan, Armenian National Assembly Speaker arrived in Prague for three-day visit on October 29. As Information and Public Relations Department of the National Assembly informed Armenpress, delegation headed by NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan headed to Karlovy Vary District, where they had meetings with Karlovy Vary Mayor Petr Kulhánek and the Head of the StateJoseph Novotny.

In the course of the meeting the sides envisaged a range of issues refer to bilateral relations and inter -regional cooperation. In the course of the launched meeting NA Speaker Abrahamyan offered Karlovy Vary Mayor Petr Kulhánek to establish partnership relations between Jermuk and Karlovy Vary cities or declare then as sister-cities, as both resort towns are known for their healing mineral waters and have some commonalities.

During the working lunch with Head of the State Joseph Novotny the sides highlighted the cooperation between the regions in the frame of further development and strengthening of the relations of the two countries. Abrahamyan in his turn also suggested Head of the State to visit Armenia particularly aimed at launching cooperation with Vayots Dzor Administrative Unit. Mr. Novotny was gratified by the invention and stated he will definitely visit Armenia jointly with Mayor of Karlovy Vary and expressed hope that the cooperation will be fruitful and mutually beneficial.
