YEREVAN, 24 AUGUST, ARMENPRESS: Head of the Military Council of “Syrian Free Army” Mustafa al-Sheik denied his group issuing threats to the Armenian community of Syria. Mustafa al Sheikh told Al Arabia, that Syrian Armenians live in the country for the decades and have no problems there. “The people of Syria do not have any issue neither with Armenians, nor with Christians and other communities”, - Al Sheikh said. He outlined that rebel forces do not intend to attack Armenians and called it a provocation, Lebanese Radio Sevan’s information service told Armenpress. Earlier today a statement had been released, which was threatening Armenian community of Syria for its sympathy towards Bashar Al- Assad. Press secretary of Armenian primacy of Aleppo Jirayr Reisyan told Armenpress that community has a clear position on neutrality: “We do not support any of the sides. Our support and respect is dedicated to Syria and its nation which has one aim – to return the peace in Syria”: Reisyan said.
