An Italian expert urges ‘’call’’ the tourists to Syunik by the internet

YEREVAN, JULY 25, ARMENPRESS: Syunik province has great opportunities for the development of ecotourism. This tendency is mostly observed in the north of the province, Tatev, whereas wild nature , historical and cultural monuments in the southern parts of the province can also serve a basis for the development of tourism , Armenpress reports.

Italian expert Nadyan Paskual , the interim consultant of USA International Development Agency (USAID) ,’’ Enterprise development and market Competitiveness" program and OSCE programs Syunik Office carried out studies and identified tourism development opportunities.

The Italian expert considers there is still a great deal of work to be done to boom this particular type of tourism. For that aim first of all it is necessary to carry out road rehabilitation works, develop tourism information services, increase the ability of the residents aimed at cooperating by foreign language. Reportedly tourism development in its turn will boost local business, especially the private sector.

The project launched by the support of OSCE also stipulates organizing training courses with the participation of hotel complexes, restaurant employees and guides.

‘’ I enjoyed my visit to Syunik province, I had not the least idea about the area since the day of my arrival’’ Italian expert noted.

Nadya Paskual stated it is necessary to develop tourism by the internet, ‘’call’’ the tourists by attractive and saturated information: the information about Syunik ‘’ miracles’’ is too meager.
