Yerevan, July 21, ARMENPRESS: Taking into consideration the opposition candidate’s votes the opposition in Nagorno Karabakh is in the stage of formation. During the meeting with the journalists on July 21 reported Alexander Margarov.
“The opposition candidate’s received votes talk about the fact that competitive elections were held”, the politician reported. He also highlighted the impact of the elections on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process. “Compared to the last elections, there was a healthy political competition this time which is inherent in democratic states. We had to deal with political warfare, competition, as well as the serious participation of the opposition”, mentioned Margarov.
“The presence of the observers from different countries in the elections means that there is special attention to the Artsakh political life”, stated the politician.
From 99 thousand 227 electors 72 thousand 958 participated in the presidential elections held in Artsakh, July 19, 47 thousand 095 of which voted for Bako Sahakyan.
