YEREVAN, 20 JULY, ARMENPRESS: Any election in Nagorno Karabakh is a political step toward the recognition, meanwhile this does not mean that any election may lead to the recognition of Artsakh. The politician Alexander Manasyan told Armenpress during the press conference, that the political efforts, that are directed toward the recognition of Artsakh, must be more active. According to the different ratings of democratic evaluation, Artsakh is standing on a higher platform than Azerbaijan is. Manasyan thinks, that Artsakh is more onward than Azerbaijan even in the blockaded conditions, it has achievements in economic, political areas, which can be emulated by the European countries as well.
The former deputy of the National Assembly Larisa Alaverdyan added, that every time by the execution of high level elections Nagorno Karabakh is confirming the possibility to rule the nation, to protect the borders, to be involved in the international relations.
Talking about the announcement, made by Catherine Ashton , the high representative of foreign policy issues of the European Union, Alaverdyan noted, that regardless of the statement, Artsakh has grown enough as a subject of international law. “Recognition is a political process, but the establishment and development- legal ”- said she.
