Spain is again the best team of Europe

YEREVAN, JULY 2, ARMENPRESS: European football championship is finished. National football team of Spain won the championship.

In the final the opponent of future champions was national team of Italy. Before the start of the match the closing ceremony took place. In the stadium was sounded the official anthem of EURO 2012 (Endless Summer). Capital of Ukraine said good bye to the stars of European football.

At the starting minutes of the match Spain continued to play with its traditional style and kept the ball under its control. THE first goal happened at 14th minute. The attack was started Xavi and Iniesta, continued by Cesc Fabregas and the goal scored David Silva.

After the goal Italians began to attack more frequently. At the middle of the first half Montolivo shot dangerously but Iker Casillas saved its team.

At the last minutes of the first half Spain could score the second goal. After the brilliant pass by Xavi Jordi Alba made the score 2:0.

The second half began with attacks of Italy which had some chances to score a goal. But Spain also could make the score greater. It was fatal for Italians the injury of Thiago Motta because Italy at that time did not have substitutions and had to play with less player. After that moment it was clear that Spain would certainly win the title. At the last minutes of the match Fernando Torres and Juan Mata scored other two goals and Spain became the champion of Europe.

Spain became the champion of Europe for the third time.
