Karen Janibekyan about 13 years of silence and his talisman named Liana

YEREVAN, JULY 2, ARMENPRESS: Each person during his life is being a witness to stories which we described with one word as providence. Famous actor Karen Janibekyan and his wife playwright Liana Antaranyan give such description to their acquaintance, development of their relationship and reality. Armenpress had a talk with them who answered to our questions supplementing and continuing each other.

- Mrs. Antaranyan let’s speak a little about your acquaintance as well as your oath.

Yes, the beginning of the turning page of my biography was my oath which was costless for me. When my father died, I made an oath before his body that I would make his memory forever. For that purpose I decided to write down the story of his life. One beautiful day my oath brought me to Armenia. I considered famous actor Karen Janibekyan very similar to father and began to look for him. When I came to the theatre after Sundukyan for the first time, I met him and realized that only he can embody my father. He joked and said “I am an expensive actor; you won’t be able to pay me”. And he went away. A few days later I went to the theatre once again.

- Mr. Janibekyan could you imagine that day would be key moment in your life?

For years I lived in Garni with my dog. I was offended by everyone and everything. I came to receive my salary that day and I was told that a beautiful girl is asking for me and came Liana Antaranyan whom I did not know. When she saw me, she immediately was touched and told – Mister Janibekyan I was looking for you. Spoke about the program and I told the same as Jangirov: “I am an expensive actor”. When going out I told that we would speak later.

(Continues Liana Antaranyan) When I saw Karen immediately got a shock as the meeting was a sign from the sky. I believed that nothing just happens in life. Of course at that time the word was only about business relations as I was married at that time and had a brilliant family in Moscow. I was warned that if I want Janibekyan embody my father he had to get acquainted with the scenario. Janibekyan invited me to his house to get acquainted with the scenario.

- Mr. Janibekyan you returned to theatre after 13 years of silence, did you have fears?

- Yes, the play was staged and named “There is a life in mountains” and became my return to theatre. I knew that moment would come and I would play for the audience. And came Lina and brought me again to stage.
