Serzh Sargsyan spoke about Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during EPP summit

YEREVAN, JUNE 29, ARMENPRESS: President of Armenia, RPA chairman Serzh Sargsyan on June 28 took part in the summit of European People’s Party in Brussels where he delivered a speech. President of Armenia in his speech reverberated to the relations between Armenian and European Union, negotiations on Associative agreement, visa facilitation and Readmission, Armenia-EU negotiations on deep and comprehensive free trade zone, as well as to the wide agenda of Armenian reforms which have key importance in Armenia-EU discussions.

Armenpress was informed from President’s press office that President Serzh Sargsyan spoke about current state of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process and expressed his concern on Azerbaijani provocations in the contact line of the conflict and Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Serzh Sargsyan presented to the participants of EPP summit the position of our country in this issue reconfirming the readiness of Armenia to solve the problem with the help of negotiations and in accordance of internationally accepted norms, highlighted that the peace settlement in the framework of OSCE Minsk group on the basis of consensus does not have any alternative.

President Sargsyan thanked the leadership of EPP and all member parties for the support given in the issue of making Republican Party of Armenia and other two Armenian parties members of EPP great family. President of the Republic assured that it would stimulate the Euro integration of Armenia and be favorable for the implementation of cooperation programs.

Serzh Sargsyan stressed the importance of the main theme of the discussions – the failure of Euro is an unpredictable treat not only for the future of Europe but also for international economy.
