Kuwait interested in developing cooperation with Armenia

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 10, ARMENPRESS: Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan received Ambassador of Kuwait to Armenia Bassam Mohammed Al-Qabandi. Prime Minister congratulated the ambassador on assuming the diplomatic mission and expressed conviction that the friendly relations between Armenia and Kuwait will continue developing and expanding in future as well. "The opening of Armenian embassy in Kuwait raised the relations between the two countries on a new qualitative level. Our works must reveal the programs that may be of mutual interest. Kuwait is a capital exporting country, and we must be able to propose interesting investment programs," Tigran Sargsyan said.

The ambassador said the government of his country is interested in developing relations with Armenia in different directions. The interlocutors attached significance to the development of trade-economic ties between Armenia and Kuwait through implementation of joint programs. In this context the parties discussed issues on possible participation of Kuwait in the projects on construction of North-South highway and 400 km railway in Armenia. They also referred to the issues on cooperation in the spheres of agriculture, mine-industry, IT, tourism and possible implementation of flights between the two countries.

Bassam Mohammed Al-Qabandi conveyed to Tigran Sargsyan warm greetings of the Prime Minister of Kuwait and invited the head of the government to participate in the events dedicated to the independence holiday.
