No time zone changes in Armenia

YEREVAN, JANUARY 26, ARMENPRESS: Armenia's government approved the bill on making changes in Armenia's Law "On the Procedure of Calculation of Time in Armenia". Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan told at the cabinet sitting Thursday that the bill proposes staying in the time zone which is four hours ahead of the GMT and at the same time abolish the process of shifting to summer time and winter time every spring and fall.

The abolishment of the time zone changes will also have a positive impact on the health of people. Specialists of the health sphere say that spring and fall are the most stress seasons for the people as they are starting accommodating to the weather changes while the time zone changes create additional artificial problems. In this regard more than 80 countries finally abolished the time zone changes.
