Armenia's President visits reconstructed Vanand school

YEREVAN, JANUARY 13, ARMENPRESS: Within the framework of the working visit to the Armenian province of Armavir Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan visited secondary school of the Vanand community, one of the buildings of which has been reconstructed recently. The leader of the country toured inside the reconstructed building.

Vanand school headmaster Hayk Khachikyan noted that the reconstruction has been carried out with the means of the Armenia Social Investment Fund and the community. Totally 70-75 million AMD have been invested for the reconstruction. Khachikyan said with the current conditions the school is able to ensure civilized opportunities for 140 pupils and 22 teachers. "We have received new furniture, the chemistry and physics laboratories have been equipped," the school headmaster said. Khachikyan also stressed that the school is one of the unique ones in the province the number of pupils of which tends to grow.

"Pyunik" benevolent foundation has provided 8 computers to the school.
