The tourists visiting Jermuk combine their rest with exciting experience, and the interest in the town grows from year to year. Speaking to Armenpress, advisor to the Jermuk mayor Arpine Avetisyan said; "Jermuk is ready to host tourists for New Year holidays. Visiting once, people are reserving rooms for the next year as well. Intensive period starts from September. Even in November no vacant rooms can be found," she said.
According to Avetisyan, the health centers are full of tourists till the New Year eve and post-holiday period. During the whole year round Jermuk receives 6-7 thousand tourists. Developing from year to year the resort town promotes the development of the tourism sphere of the country. The visitors are mostly Diaspora Armenians from the Russian Federation.
The New Year tree from Greece placed till December 28 will decorate Jermuk and bring joy to children and adults.
