Arab spring became winter, overturn does not bring to democracy

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS:

The international interest in the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations existed from the very beginning and still remains. Speaking to reporters today, Turkologist Hakob Chakryan said no changes have been registered in the Armenian-Turkish relations and in near future will not be.

"The agenda of the Turkish National Assembly is overloaded with developments over the new constitution and Van's earthquake," the Turkologist noted, adding that these issues are not being tied with protocols and relations between the two countries, the latter have been withdrawn for the second plan.

Chakryan said that besides the existing tension in the region, Kurdish movement has intensified inside Turkey. "Arab spring became winter but in the countries where revolutions are taking place, peace will not be established and the overturn will not bring to democracy," the Turkologist said.
