Union of Russian Writers to present monument of Alexander Pushkin to Armenian people

The monument of renowned Russian poet Alexander Pushkin will be transported from Moscow to Yerevan. It is the gift of the Union of Russian Writers to the people of Armenia, head of the Armenian-Russian cooperation representation, consultant to the Russian embassy to Armenia Viktor Kriwopuskov said at the meeting with reporters.
"Within the framework of the days of Russian speech we are planning to visit "Pushkin's gorge" which is situated in the Armenian province of Lori", he said. As it is known Pushkin saw from this gorge the corpse of Alexander Griboyedov that was being transported from Persia to Russia.
Kriwopuskov said that the details of placing the monument in Yerevan are still being clarified. He said October 7 the store of Russian book will open in Yerevan and house of Armenian book in Moscow.
