Sharmazanov: Return of the Armenian-Turkish protocols to the Turkey’s parliament cheap step

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS:

The return of the Armenian-Turkish protocols to the Turkey's parliament is a cheap step, spokesman for the Republican party of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov said, adding that it is not what the international community waits for, it waits for the ratification of protocols by Turkey and implementation of commitments.

"As far as Turkey has not ratified the protocols, there can be no word about progress in the normalization of relations", Sharmazanov said, reminding Armenia's position that until Turkey's parliament does not ratify the protocols, the Armenian side will do it neither.

He noted that Armenia implements its international commitments. During the recent years Armenia has become a more reliable partner for the international community.

Referring to the step of the Turkish Prime Minister who left the UN GA hall during Serzh Sargsyan's speech, Sharmazanov said it speaks about Turkey's leadership's Armenian complex. The speaker of the party said not every political figure has strength to hear the truth.
