Artak Shakaryan: Turkey Tends to Turn the Situation in Syria to Its Advantage

Turkey's policy in Middle East is aimed at the creation and strengthening of its role as a leader, Turkologist Artak Shakaryan said in an interview with Armenpress.

Commenting on the Syrian-Turkish relations, Artak Shakaryan said Turkey tends to show its role of a leader in Syria and to contribute to overcoming the inner-political crisis in the country. He says at this moment Turkey cooperates both with the authorities and the opposition. "This policy will be successful, as no matter which party wins, Turkey will be a winner in this situation. Now Turkey tends to turn the situation there to its benefit," Artak Shakaryan said.
