YEREVAN, JULY 25, ARMENPRESS:
The time has come for the Armenian diplomacy to adopt a tougher position in the Nagorno Karabakh issue, director of the Regional Studies Center, political analyst Richard Kirakosyan told a news conference today, referring to the developments taking place in the NK settlement process. He said no breakthrough will be registered in the peace talks in near future.
"The diplomatic strategy of Azerbaijan did not work. They were thinking to take high position in Kazan and see what they will win from the meeting with which the international community was tying big expectations", Kirakosyan said, adding that Azerbaijanis did not reach success as their country did not manage to exert pressure on the Minsk group.
Kirakosyan also referred to the inner political issues, noting that ANC-authorities dialogue strengthens Armenia's position in the world outside.
Referring to the news that Richard Kirakosyan is planning to come forth with a lecture at the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the analyst shrugged off the information, saying it will at least be strange.
