Tigran Karapetyan says negotiations to strengthen both authorities and the ANC

The Armenian National Congress does not present the entire opposition, leader of the People's Party Tigran Karapetyan told a news conference today, adding that as far as the ANC is negotiating with the authorities it must not be called "radical opposition". "The ANC is an opposition force that has changed its principle – turning from radical opposition into constructive one", Karapetyan stated.

The leader of the party considered the conduction of the snap elections less possible, noting that the ANC does not put this issue as a cornerstone, it is just speaking about snap elections, to somehow legitimize the dialogue with authorities.

"These negotiations will strengthen both the authorities and the ANC", he said.
