YEREVAN, JULY 18, ARMENPRESS:
The demand of the Armenian National Congress on conduction of snap elections in Armenia is a political game, political analyst Yervand Bozoyan said speaking to Armenpress and adding that the goal of the demand is to keep the associates near.
"The conduction of snap elections is of ideological significance as from the very beginning the ANC has not recognized the legitimacy of the 2008 presidential elections. They have always stated that even if a day remains for the regular ones, they will demand snap elections", Bozoyan said, adding that it is illogical.
The political analyst said if the ANC leaves the idea it will mean that as a political force it will use its associates. That is to say the demand of the ANC is just an ideological formulation, to keep the mass demanding speedy changes.
As to the coalition-ANC meeting scheduled for today, Bozoyan said the parties show that the partially open door of dialogue is kept by them.
