Political analyst says South Sudan example good precedent for the recognition of the NKR

YEREVAN, JULY 12, ARMENPRESS:

The example of South Sudan may be a good precedent for the recognition of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh by the international community, political scientist Sergey Shakaryants tolda news conference today, adding that the world powers are among the first to recognize the independence of South Sudan.

The political scientist said Azerbaijan continues carrying out unconstructive policy, not taking into consideration the circumstance that Nagorno Karabakh is already a consolidated state.

"Azerbaijan does not realize that the western countries do not need its oil and gas. It means that the world is not much interested in the approaches of Azerbaijan", Shakaryants said. Then why in its statements the international community does not point the concrete addressee, the political analyst noted that currently they are trying to speak with Azerbaijan in a diplomatic language, without rough approaches.

Referring to the NKR' participation in the negotiation process, Shakaryants said it will not take place until the electoral processes end in Armenia and Azerbaijan.
