First pan-military conference of young military officers of Armenia’s Armed Forces conducted

YEREVAN, JULY 9, ARMENPRESS:

The first pan-military conference of young military officers of Armenia's Armed Forces was conducted today at the Alexander Spendiaryan Opera House. The president, defense minister, minister of education and science and other high-ranking officials attended the conference.

Welcoming the attendees Serzh Sargsyan rated high the organization of the event and wished it be effective and traditional. He delivered a speech highly underscoring the role of the officer staff for the state.

Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan mentioned that the day is a remarkable one as during 20 years of history in Armenia's Armed Forces this is the first time such a comprehensive conference has been organized with the participation young military officers. He said the goal of the conference is to stress the role of the Armenian military officer in the army.

The minister noted that unprecedented work is being carried out in the army aimed at the strengthening of the Armenian army and making it able to combat the existing challenges.

Speaking about the development of the Armed Forces Seyran Ohanyan noted the reviewing of the defense strategy served the basis for it.
