Economy Minister says mine industry does not create obstacles for tourism

YEREVAN, JULY 5, ARMENPRESS:

There is no principle controversy between the mine industry and tourism. In case all the natural demands are maintained such combination is quite possible, Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan said at a news conference today, speaking about the exploitation of mine near Tatev monastic complex and the damage it may cause to the nature.

According to him, the mine industry does not create insuperable obstacles for tourism. "There are many examples in the world that complicated technology productions are situated in places of tourism values", the minister said.
