Anti-Hail Stations placed in Armavir province

YEREVAN, JUNE 23, ARMENPRESS:
The process of placing the anti-hail stations in the Armenian province of Armavir is underway. Head of staff of the Armavir's governor's office Parandzem Karapetyan told Armenpress that currently about 60 stations have been placed in the province but the chief goal is to protect the whole province from the hail.
"It is not a secret that the Armavir is considered one of the provinces that gives the most of the agricultural products. And it is not accidental that the "lion's share" by the 2011-2014 development program of Armavir is given to the prospect of development of the agriculture, dynamics and solution of other issue which are of prior importance in the province today", she said.
The other important issue is accomplishing the restoration of the irrigation system. In this respect the head of the staff highlighted the works implemented by the "Millennium Challenges Foundation-Armenia" program.
As to ensuring the province with agricultural engineering, she expressed hope that thanks to the cooperation of the Armenian government, Armavir province with other countries the issue will gradually be solved.
