Specialists say local sweets better than imported ones

The cases of falsification of sweets in Armenia have reduced, chairwoman of the National Association of Consumers Melita Hakobyan said at a news conference today, convincing that the result has been achieved in collaboration with the state.

She said the quality of local common sweets sphere is high. She urged to pay attention that the date of expiry of imported sweets is 3-6 months while the date of expiry of local sweets is maximum 10 days.

The speaker said that the Armenian market though is unreliable, cases of frauds are a lot. "We are always controlling the market for fighting against this phenomenon", Melita Hakobyan said, reminding that without labels the food is falsified and is of unknown birth.

Specialist of Agriculture Levon Atchemyan advised the people to use vegetables fruits now and not in winter when they are being grown in green houses containing certain danger for health.
