Turkologist: Turkey to preserve directions of recent nine years in its inner and foreign policy

The victory of Recep Tayyip Erdogan's party "Justice and Development" at the June 12 parliamentary elections was predictable: it means that the directions of recent nine years will be preserved in the inner and foreign policy of Turkey, Turkologist Artak Shakaryan said speaking to Armenpress and adding that the only doubt related to engagement of "Nationalistic Movement" into the works of the parliament.

"Like during the elections of previous years this time as well "Justice and Development" will have equally distributed opposition forces, who will maintain the balance between the authorities and parliamentary opposition. Gathering the majority of votes, the party, though does not have the 330 mandates in the parliament for making constitutional changes", the Turkologist said, adding that the party headed by Erdogan is currently forced to apply for dialogue to the parliamentary opposition forces for getting necessary number of votes.

"As to the possible further developments over Armenian-Turkish relations, no new developments are expected", Artak Shakaryan said.
