YEREVAN, JUNE 8, ARMENPRESS:
The dialogue between the authorities and opposition on the level of delegations is not acceptable, member of the Armenian Republican Party's faction Gagik Melikyan said at a news conference today, adding that this variant is more peculiar for international dialogues. According to him, the authorities accept dialogue with the ANC but not with the participation of negotiating groups. He noted that President Serzh Sargsyan still three years ago proposed all the political forces to establish a dialogue and that variant was much more acceptable. Melikyan said there is no need for Serzh Sargsyan to personally refer to the formation of negotiating groups by the authorities. In his opinion, the authorities are currently negotiating with all the political forces which is not a sign of weakness and there is no need to speak with authorities in a language of demands.
Speaking about the demand of opposition to conduct snap elections, Melikyan noted that there are no legal and political grounds for it in Armenia.
