Analyst: Ethnic minorities in Azerbaijan face serious issues

Azerbaijan is not creating favorable conditions for the ethnic minorities living there, political analyst Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan said at a news conference today, adding that the latter face serious issues in Azerbaijan. According to him, the Armenian mass media must voice about it to show the international community that Azerbaijan is displaying intolerant attitude toward them. The analyst said in case resuming of war on the way to the settlement of the Karabkh issue the ethnic minorities in Azerbaijan may become Armenia’s allies. Melik-Shahnazaryan said the Azerbaijani ethnic minorities have their web pages through which they voice their issues.

Specialist of information security Vahram Mirakyan said Azerbaijan’s attitude toward ethnic minorities witnesses their being nationalitic. According to him, Armenia too must promote the voicing of the issue of ethnic minorities in Azerbaijan.
