YEREVAN, MAY 26, ARMENPRESS:
There is a certain dialogue between the Armenian National Congress (HAK) and the authorities, director of the Caucasian Institute, political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan said at a news conference today, adding that the authorities respond to the activities of HAK and vice versa. "On one hand HAK says that dialogue is possible only over the issue of extraordinary elections, on the other the authorities insist that it does not react to the demands of HAK, but in reality they have influence on one another", the political analyst stressed.
Iskandaryan believes that the fall will be politically hot in respect of the format of participation of political forces in the coming parliamentary elections. He said there is not big opportunity of conduction of extraordinary parliamentary elections in Armenia.
Touching upon the approval of the proposal of the President on amnesty, the political analyst said it will have significant role in the internal political life of the country. "The release of all persons in relation to the events of March 2008 is of great significance for HAK, and they will present it as a victory and for the authorities it is important as manifestation of mutual concessions", Iskandaryan said.
