Children’s center opens in Kapan

KAPAN, MAY 25, ARMENPRESS:

Children's center opened today in Kapan to help the children that appeared in difficult life situation. The center provides social-psychological, pedagogical, legal defense assistance to the children. It will promote the healthy development of children under 18 and their welfare through the defense of their rights, strengthening families, uniting the community's resources.

Before the opening of the center the situation over the protection of rights of children and issues were discussed at Kapan town hall.

The meeting was initiated by "World Vision" organization's territorial development center.

Presenting the situation of protection of children's rights, head of the family, women and children rights protection department of the governor's office Naira Avanesyan said there are 46 500 children in Syunik province which have issues but the province has establishments which are taking care of children and protect their rights.

The newly opened center will operate all year round. It will be located in the territory of Kapan N6 kinder garten. It will have 11 employees.
