Issue of inflation still contemporary

YEREVAN, MAY 25, ARMENPRESS:

The issue connected with the inflation continues being contemporary, chairman of the finance-crediting and budget affairs standing committee of the National Assembly Gagik Minasyan said at a news conference today. "But in spite of it the inflation has gone down by 0.2% as compared with the past month making 8.9%. This tendency is promising", the speaker said, adding that there is quite big hope that by the end of the year we will have 5.5% inflation as it has been set up by the state budget.

Gagik Minasyan said serious steps are being undertaken in the legislative field directed toward intensification of economy. He particularly singled out the law "About Checking" which will essentially facilitate the burden of checking for the enterprises.

He also pointed out the legislative changes that are being carried out for developing the sphere of agriculture. He particularly said the freeing from VAT payment for the agricultural imports, which, he assured, will essentially facilitate the situation of companies working in the sphere.
