The 2010 achievements in the agricultural industry sphere will go on this year as well. Today during the presentation of the 2010 state budget performance at the National Assembly, RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said 262 calves were imported to Armenia in 2010 for the development of cattle breeding and every year the calves give 8-9 thousand liter milk.
Within the framework of the program 1222 calves were imported to Armenia in the recent years, 14 new family farms were formed in the result of this and 1100 younger animals were born. The exportation of frozen fish to Russia doubled and made 400 tons.
"The programs, which are being implemented in this sphere, will bring to doubling of the above-mentioned index in both this and next years," Tigran Sargsyan said.
