Alexander Brussilovsky: Music needs help today

"Music needs help today", outstanding violinist invited from Paris Alexander Brussilovsky said today, adding that the issue is the same in the whole world. "The main concern is that noise dominates in the contemporary music as a result the music started being like chaos. Impression is that the music entered a deadlock", he expressed concern, saying that now there is no sensitivity, feelings in the music.

Referring to the circumstance that today young people are mainly listening to music through headphones and very often in streets, the violinist said he noticed it in almost all the countries of the world. "I will describe it as escape from the world, which from the first sight seems to be done through music. But music has never had a function to isolate a person from the society", Brussilovsky said.

Tomorrow, May 12 at the Komitas Chamber House the concert of Alexander Brussilovsky and another musician from Paris, pianist Roustem Saitkoulov will take place dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Armenian composer, RA honorable artist Gagik Hovunts.
