Forty three Kapan unemployed pass qualification classes

YEREVAN, MAY 6, ARMENPRESS:

The re-qualification classes have started for the unemployed people of Kapan with the funding of the government. This year it is expected to organize classes for 43 unemployed. For five of them hair dresser classes have launched in Kapan's state college. The classes will last for three months, four hours a day.

"For each month the participants will get 15000 AMD scholarships. According to the arrangement reached with the employers, the 20% of unemployed who will pass the classes will immediately be taken for job", vice director of the Kapan employment center Arayik Hayrapetyan told Armenpress correspondent.

During the running year hairdresser's classes will be conducted for 9 unemployed.

Besides this government-funded qualification classes, the studies of 6 unemployed are in process with the funding of the UNDP. For each month the unemployed will get 20 000 AMD. After the completion of classes the unemployed will work at Farmer's Association.

"We are organizing the classes taking into consideration the demands of the labor market", Hayrapetyan said.
