Reforms in Pedagogical Universities Underway

YEREVAN, APRIL 30, ARMENPRESS:

"We are reconsidering the activity and the development programs of the pedagogical higher educational establishments," Manuk Mkrtchyan, RA education and science deputy minister, said today in an interview with Armenpress.

He says the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan is in the limelight.

"As you know, the RA prime minister is the chairman of the board of that higher educational establishment. He gave us a serious assignment to present the university's reform program within the months to follow," Manuk Mkrtchyan said. He noted that one of the most important clauses of the program is the issue of pedagogical practice and organization of the process of the pedagogical profession study.

"Starting from September the approach towards practice and the educational process within the university and in general towards the university life will be changed thoroughly," the deputy minister said.
