Book exhibition in Charentsavan

YEREVAN, APRIL 12, ARMENPRESS: On the initiative of the National Association of Publishers exhibition-sale of book will be conducted in the town of Charentsavan, Kotayk province, April 15. Chairman of the association Mkrtich Karapetyan told Armenpress that about 35 publishers will participate in the event and present the best books of the recent years. Overall 1500-2000 units of books will be presented. Karapetyan said they wish to create a book holiday in the provinces. Meetings will be organized with publishers, book presentations will take place. It is planned to donate literature to the Charentsavan urban library.

“Different events are being organized in the capital, it is necessary to involve provinces in this work, to intensify the activity of provincial libraries,” Karapetyan said.

After Charentsavan, book exhibition will be organized in Artsakh in May. Next will be Goris town, Syunik province.

The chairman of the association noted staring from April 20 Armenia’s publishers will present Armenia’s book in a number of international exhibitions. First the Armenian publishers will participate in international exhibitions in St. Petersburg, then in Geneva, Los Angeles, Thessaloníki.
